The news has long been lingering in the media, in particular in blogs across the web sphere and now things are coming to light about the Apple iPad at a rather rapid pace. The critics are surprisingly kind to the new mobile user system and it comes as no surprise since they have had to recant after the extreme success of Apple’s iPod and iPhone launches. The iPad will offer a fleet of new innovations that build upon the slate style design that has been shown to be in the works by previous companies, but never before has such a consumer device had the level of funding muscle that Apple will be able to put behind the upcoming iPad. The tablet computer will offer consumers a much bigger screen that is nearly 10 inches in display area and will operate similar to an iPhone, offering users the ability to browse the web, check their email and of course utilize a whole host of entertainment products ranging from books to videos to TV shows available on demand. With a starting price of $499, the market saturation should be deep, say critics, but it remains to be seen if the 5 million unites that some analysts are predicting will be sold actually make it out the door of retailers.
Many have already begun plans to camp outside of Apple stores in order to get their hands on the iPad at the earliest possible opportunity and the media coverage from these events may serve to propel sales to a very high degree as consumers get ready to add yet another hi tech mobile device to the life style computing genre.
